What it does

No 03 is the boost. It is the essential oils in the line with the carriers taken out — three of them: rosemary, Atlas cedarwood and peppermint. There is nothing in the bottle to soften, spread or dilute, which is precisely why it must never be used on its own. The rule is simple and it is the product: drops do not go on you, they go in your products. Two or three drops added into the shampoo already in your palm turns the wash into a treatment. Three drops, three oils, three strokes on the bottle — the only product in the line where the numeral and the mark line up exactly. These are the three essential oils in scalp care with published research behind them.

How to use

1. Into your shampoo — 2–3 drops per wash, added to the dose already in your palm (not to the bottle). This is the core use.
2. Into a conditioner or mask — 3–5 drops per use, for a longer contact time.
3. Into No 01 Scalp Serum — 1–2 drops per dropper. Wash-out only.
4. Into No 02 Pre-Wash Hair Oil — 1–2 drops per application.
5. Into any carrier oil at home — 2 drops per 5 ml.
6. Onto a hairbrush before styling — 1 drop wiped through the bristles for scent through the hair.

Dosage

2–3 drops per shampoo wash. A 10 ml bottle holds roughly 200 drops — around 65 uses at 3 drops per wash.

Can be used every wash (it is diluted into something else each time).

The story

Three oils, three strokes, No 03. These are the three essential oils in scalp care with actual published research behind them — rosemary (2015 trial in SKINmed), cedarwood and rosemary in the 1998 aromatherapy blend study in Archives of Dermatology, and peppermint in a 2014 animal study. A longer list would have been easier to sell and harder to defend.

Never applied undiluted to skin — undiluted essential oil on skin can cause sensitisation, a permanent immune response that cross-reacts with other products for life. Never used in the bath (oil does not disperse in water — it floats as neat droplets and lands on skin at full strength). Not for use on beard, brows, lashes, or near the eye area.
