Why I made these

I have spent twenty years looking at people's hair, and the problem is almost never the hair. It is the skin it grows from. Your scalp is skin, with the same barrier, the same oil glands and the same needs as your face, and almost nobody was caring for it.

Who I am

I am Rima Morkos, Managing Director of Pace e Luce, the salon group my father, Salam Morkos, founded. I grew up in his salon, and I have spent twenty years in professional hair care.

What I look for in a formula

• Five essential oils, not fifteen. Every one has a job. A longer list would have been easier to sell and harder to defend.
• No water, no preservative needed. Our formulas are anhydrous, so there is nothing for bacteria to grow in. The risk with an oil is oxidation, which is why there is vitamin E and amber glass.
• No synthetic fragrance and no silicones. The scent is the essential oils, listed on the label.

Where it is made

Formulated and manufactured by Alchemy S.A.L in Beirut, Lebanon. Our own facility, our own formulas.

How I think about hair care

These are cosmetics. They condition and care for the scalp and hair. They do not treat hair loss, and I will always tell you to see a dermatologist if that is your concern. I would rather you trust the label than a promise.
