What it does

No 01 is the scalp step. It is a serum, not a hair oil — designed to reach the skin the hair grows out of, not the fibre itself. Five carrier oils (sweet almond, avocado, olive, argan, castor) form a light, mobile base that spreads across the scalp without sitting heavy. Five essential oils lead by rosemary, with peppermint, sweet orange, Atlas cedarwood and geranium. Vitamin E keeps the blend fresh. The formula is anhydrous — no water, no preservative system needed. Applied to dry hair along parted sections, massaged with fingertips for two minutes, left in for two hours minimum or overnight, then washed out.

How to use

1. Apply to dry hair — not damp, not wet. Water on the scalp dilutes the oil and blocks contact with skin.
2. Part hair into rows and work across the head so the product reaches scalp, not hair.
3. Apply directly with the dropper along the parting.
4. Massage for two to three minutes with fingertips (not nails).
5. Leave for two hours minimum. Overnight is better.
6. Wash out gently — see instructions below.

Dosage

1–2 ml per session (one to two full droppers). A 50 ml bottle gives roughly 25 to 50 full treatments — three to six months at twice a week.

Frequency

1–2 times per week.

How to wash it out

Do not wet hair first. Apply shampoo directly onto dry, oiled hair and work through until it turns milky (the emulsion forming). Only then add water and lather. Rinse. A second short shampoo is normal for a heavy application.

Contains sweet almond oil — anyone with a tree nut allergy should speak to a doctor before use. Patch test behind the ear or inside the elbow 24 hours before first use. A cool tingle from peppermint is normal; burning, stinging or redness is not. External use only. Avoid eye contact. Do not use on broken skin or diagnosed scalp conditions — see a dermatologist.
